Mark Guildea is a leading practitioner in wearable technology, behavioural data and population-level physical activity programmes across the UAE.

As Managing Director of Interact, he oversees government-backed initiatives that use real-time movement data, accelerometry and evidence-based insights to improve wellbeing across schools, workplaces and community sport. He leads the region’s largest deployment of school-based wearable technology, capturing MVPA and engagement data for thousands of students and turning these insights into curriculum and environment changes that drive long-term health outcomes. Previously a national leader in Physical & Health Education with the UAE Ministry of Education, Mark’s career spans elite football coaching, health innovation and large-scale programme delivery. He now oversees the UAE’s first population-representative movement dataset for schools, giving policymakers and educators a unified, evidence-based understanding of how active children really are and where the biggest opportunities for improvement lie.
